Delivery Preparation FAQ
How should I prepare the site for delivery?
Before delivery, make sure the area where your new Leland’s product will be placed is completely clear of debris, obstacles, and any other items. Additionally, mow the grass in that area to prevent the unit from sitting on tall or uneven grass.
Who is responsible for checking the ground conditions?
It is the customer’s responsibility to assess ground conditions. Delivery is not recommended if the ground is soft or wet, as this may affect placement or damage your property.
Do I need to locate underground utilities before delivery?
Yes. You are responsible for identifying and marking the location of any underground water, sewer, or utility lines that could be impacted by the delivery. Any damages caused to these lines are the customer’s responsibility.
Will Leland’s cover damage to my yard or driveway during delivery?
No. The customer assumes all responsibility for any potential damage to the yard, driveway, or other property surfaces during the delivery process.
Are permits or HOA approvals required before delivery?
Yes. You are responsible for obtaining any required permits and ensuring that you comply with all applicable HOA (Homeowners Association) requirements before delivery can take place.
Can my delivery be rescheduled due to poor ground conditions?
Yes. Leland’s reserves the right to reschedule your delivery if the delivery site conditions are not suitable to ensure a safe and non-damaging delivery.
Do I need to provide the blocks for leveling?
Yes, the Customer is responsible for providing the blocks. Our delivery team will do the setup which includes setting the building on level ground and leveling the unit with the blocks you have provided. (See chart for block buying guide.)
